Dr. Kenneth Reynen, or Pastor Ken as he is called, is the head of
staff at Grandview Presbyterian Church. Having served pastorates in New
York, Iowa, and Michigan before coming to California, Pastor Ken has a
background in a variety of worship and pastoral experiences. Since
coming to Grandview, he earned his doctorate in ministering to a
multicultural congregation from Fuller Theological Seminary. During his
tenure at Grandview, the church has changed from a traditional
congregation to a diverse group. As the neighborhood is changing, so is
the look of the church. It has provided many different opportunities of
ministry for the Grandview Staff.

ministry involving the children who went to the school directly across the
street. His idea of an after-school ministry for elementary-aged children
became a reality within a year after his coming to the church. Club JAM has become a prototype for other
churches who seek to make a difference in their community through a vital ministry to children.
Pastor Ken's sermons are scriptural and relevant. Embracing Grandview's theme of bringing the Gospel of
Jesus Christ to the world, he believes that the church has an obligation, as well as a privilege, to share the
message of salvation to the community in which it finds itself. Pastor Ken and his wife, Nancy, often share
in leading creative worship services featuring music and drama. They've done first-person sermons, as
well as dramatic presentations which bring the scriptural stories to life.
Pastor Ken and Nancy have three married sons and six grandchildren with whom they love spending time.
They also enjoy traveling and have been to many different parts of the world. Serving Grandview is a
